HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW CIVIL MISC REVIEW APPLICATION No. - 161 of 2025 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE JASPREET SINGH, J.
1. This review petition has been filed in relation to order dated 17.11.2025 passed by this Court in PIL No. 1172 of 2025, wherein on noticing the contention that the proposal (Annexure No. 1 to the petition) was bearing forged signatures of the petitioner No. 1 in the petition, the Court observed that for the allegations made, filing of the PIL was not the remedy and consequently, dismissed the petition.
2. The review petition has been filed with the submissions that besides the fact that the signatures on the proposal of petitioner No. 1 was forged, other grounds were also raised, however, the same were not taken into consideration and therefore, the order requires review.
3. Having heard counsel for the petitioner, we are of the opinion that once allegation in the petition pertains to some forgery having been committed by the respondents, filing of the petition by raising other grounds without taking any steps qua the alleged forgery, the petition was found to be not maintainable. Admittedly, even now, no action has been taken qua the alleged forgery by the respondents. Versus Counsel for Applicant(s) : Desh Mitra Anand, Vikrant Raghuvanshi . Counsel for Opposite Party(s) :
Rakesh Maurya and 8 others .....Applicant(s) State of U.P. through Prin. Secy. Deptt. of Panchayati Raj Lko. and 6 others .....Opposite Party(s)
4. In view thereof, we do not find any reason to entertain the present review petition, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
