ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“…to issue a writ or order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction on the part of the 3rd respondent herein in not granting police protection to the petitioner herein to protect his life and property from the respondents 6 and 7 herein, as recommended by the 5th respondent herein, as highly illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional being violative of Articles 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and also violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents 2 and 3 herein to grant police protection to the petitioner herein to save his life and property admeasuring Ac.0-76 Cts in Sy. No. 408/1D-1 situated at Pandhyalamadugu Revenue Village, Ramakuppam Mandal, Chitoor District from the interference of the Respondents 6 and 7 herein, in the interest of justice and pass....…”
2. Heard Sri K.Srinivas, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is seeking police protection based on the ad-interim injunction order passed in O.S. No. 16 of 2016, on the file of the Junior Civil Judge, Kuppam, dated
29.01.2016.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader submitted that the Court may pass appropriate orders.
5. Considering the submissions made, it is observed that the petitioner has not placed any material before this Court to show that an injunction was granted in his favour on merits or that the suit has been decreed in his favour

on merits. In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to direct the police to provide protection.
6. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy before the Court where the civil suit is pending. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. _________________________________________
