Sl.No. 3 Court No. 35 G.S.Das 06.05.2025 WPA 8465 of 2025 Bijoy Mahato -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Sunny Nandy Mr. Tamal Singha Roy … for the Petitioner(s) Ms. Sonal Sinha Ms. Ashmita Chakraborty … for the State – respondent(s) The petitioner has preferred the writ petition being obstructed by some miscreants for performing kirtan. The petitioner, to that effect, submitted representation to the authorities concerned on 05.02.2025. However, the petitioner has been facing the same inconveniences as earlier. Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report prepared by the Officer-in-charge of Tamna Police Station, Purulia. Having regard to the fact that the time period for which the petitioner informed the police authorities has expired, the foundation of the writ petition has become infructuous. However, it is directed that, henceforth, the petitioner will inform the police authorities, in case, he faces any inconveniences and/or any apprehension or, any untoward incident before performing any programme within the vicinity of such police station. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8465 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record.
