This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical) Mode. 2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the State. 3. Petitioner has filed the present writ petition, inter alia, with the following prayer:- "Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, it is therefore, prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus by directing the Opp. Parties to grant the petitioner the Professor (Scale) under the Career Advancement Scheme in terms of the UGC Notification on Revision of Pay Scales, Minimum Qualification for Appointments of Teachers in Universities, Colleges and Other Measures for the Maintenance of Standard, 1998 and the consequential notification dated 31.12.1999 from the date of completion of 08 years of service as Reader. And further be pleased to direct the Opp. Parties to extend the pensionary benefit to the petitioner in the Professor Scale from the date of superannuation with all consequential service and financial benefits. Or pass such other order/orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. And for which act of kindness the petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray.” 4. However, taking into account the claim raised in the present Writ Petition, liberty is granted to the Petitioner to make a fresh representation before Opp. Party No. 1 by enclosing all the relevant documents and citations in support of her claim, if any, within a period of three (3) weeks hence. 5. It is observed that if such representation is filed within the aforesaid time period, Opp. Party No. 1 shall do well to take a lawful decision on the same within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of such representation. The order so passed by Opp. Party No.1 be communicated to the Petitioner. 6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition disposed of.
