In the instant petition, a challenge was made regarding the rejection of the candidature of the petitioner for selection to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindi in the Gauhati University which was initiated vide an Advertisement No.T/2020/3, dated 02.06.2020. Shri Mannan, learned counsel for the petitioner has, however submitted that during the pendency of this case, the petitioner has got appointment elsewhere and therefore, he has instructions not to continue with the present challenge.
