The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition inter-alia with the following prayer:- "a) issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of quo warranto against respondent no.3 by quashing and setting aside impugned appointment order dated 21.12.2023 issued from the office respondent no.-2, appointing Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh IFS-2015 (DFO Sonbhadra) as Member Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board Lucknow and accordingly directing the respondent no.3 to vacate the office of Member Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board Lucknow with immediate effect. b) issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus Direct the respondent no. 1 and 2 to issue fresh advertisement calling for application form eligible candidates for appointed to the post of Member Secretary in accordance with Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (Conditions of Service of Chairman and Member Secretary) Rules, 2021." 2.
