The petitioner is the father of the principal minor accused. He is not involved in the alleged offence. The only material available in the instant case is the statement of a co-accused. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits as follows. The alleged contraband was recovered from the house o the present petitioner, although the same was more specifically seized from the room occupied by the minor son of the present petitioner. The present petitioner has remained absconding for long. Chargesheet has already been submitted. Page 2 Considering the fact that the contraband was allegedly recovered from the house of the present petitioner and in view of the restriction contained in Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1263 of 2025 is rejected.
