Neutral Citation No. ( 2025:JHHC:20866 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 6275 of 2025 ------- Suman Sagar Kujur @ Suman Sagar, aged about 25 years, son of Emmanuel Kujur, R/o village Kereng P.O. Chainpur, P.S. Chainpur, District Gumla, Jharkhand. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. K. S. Nanda, Advocate For the State : Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sinha, A.P. P. For the Informant : Ms. Divya, Advocate -------- 02/ Dated 29.07.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 13 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 103(1)/3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, pending in the court of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khunti. On 17.02.2025, the informant was returning with her husband to Gumla. When they reached near Karra Police station, three unknown persons intercepted them. The informant was made unconscious and taken to Ranchi, where she regained consciousness and informed her mother about the occurrence. Thereafter, she came to know that her husband has been murdered. During the course of investigation, the informant was made accused in this case and she spelt out the name of the petitioner as one of the accomplices. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that apart from confession of the informant, there is no other material against the petitioner on record. Learned counsel appearing for the sister of the deceased has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the nature of accusation, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khunti, in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 13 of 2025. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
