The instant public interest litigation has been filed for the following reliefs: "i. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2/ Assistant Collector/ Tahsildar, Tahsil- Harriya, District-Basti to complete the proceeding under Section 67 (1) of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 registered as Case No.9574 of 2025 within stipulated period. ii. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2/ Assistant Collector / Tahsildar, Tahsil- Harriya District- Basti to pass appropriate order in Case No.9574 of 2025 under Section 67 (1) of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 pending before him." 2. Instruction dated 9.9.2025 sent by Tahsildar, Harriya, Basti is taken on record. 3. Mr. Satyendra Bhushan Dubey, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents on the basis of instruction dated 9.9.2025 submitted that the aforementioned proceeding is pending before Tahsildar and last date fixed in the proceeding was 16.9.2025. He further submitted that proceeding is at the stage of filing objection by the objector/encroacher. 4. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the instant public interest litigation is finally disposed of Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ramesh Chandra Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Pankaj Kumar Gupta Jamal Kha .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 4 Others .....Respondent(s) directing the respondent no.2 / Tahsildar to decide the aforementioned proceeding under Section 67 of U.P.
