CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE RAVI CHEEMALAPATI DATE : 2nd April 2025 P C : Pursuant to our orders dated 29.01.2025, it is stated that the State Pollution Control Board has provided the requisite information, as was required by the Central Pollution Control Board. 2. The Gap Analysis Report, which has since been furnished to the Central Pollution Control Board, along with the answers to the queries that had been raised by the Central Pollution Control Board, it is stated, are under consideration by the Central Pollution Control Board. 2 3. In the meantime, Ms. Padmavathi, who is the Environmental Engineer in the State Pollution Control Board, makes a statement that out of the 12 facilities which are available in the State of Andhra Pradesh, it has been found in the gap analysis that only 4 are adequate and that facilities have to be ramped up in the rest of the 8 facilities. It is further stated that an action plan with regard to the ramping up the capacity is in the process of being prepared, which will take at least four weeks to do the needful. The action plan, it is stated, will then be submitted to the Central Pollution Control Board as also the Ministry of Environment and Forest. 4. In view of the statement so made, the grievance of the petitioner that the State Pollution Control Board was not acting and not furnishing the Gap Analysis Report for consideration by the Central Pollution Control Board has since been satisfied and in that view of the matter, learned counsel for the parties agree that the proceedings can be closed. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition (PIL) is closed. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, including I.A.No.1 of 2024 shall stand closed.
