SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5583 of 2025 Order: This Cr'Iminal Petition, under Sections 480 & 483 of B.N.S.S., has been filed by the petitioners/Accused Nos.1, 3 & 5, seeking regular bail, in crime No.240 of 2O24 of V. Madugula Police Station, AnakapaII'l District. 2. A case has been registered against the Petitioners herein and others for the offence pun|lshable under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3, Brief facts of the Case are that 31.12.2024 at about 15.OO hours, the sub-Inspector of Police, V. Madugula PS, on receiving credible information about transportat'lon of Ganja, on instructions, HC 927 along w'lth his staff and mediators When reached Outskirts Of Kasipuram Village not-ICed 9 persons coming from Paderu side towards Ghat road by walk with gunny bags, and On Seeing the POIice when they tried to escape leaving the gunny bags, but POliCe Chased them to a distance and caught A1, A4 and A5 and seized 120 KGs of Ganja. 4. Heard the learned COunSel for the Petitioners and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor| Perused the record. 5. It is submitted by the learned Special Assistant Public prosecutor that major portion of the investigation is completed. The petitioners were arrested on 31.12.2024 and since then they have been languishing in jail. statutory period of 180 days is completed. The police neI'ther filed any charge sheet within the stipulated time nor filed any application for extension of time for investigation. 6. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to grant ba" to the petitioners herein, on the following condjtjon.
