Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. S. Konwar, learned Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent Nos. 1 to 3. Also heard Mr. M. Smith, learned counsel for the respondent Bank. The Bank Account of the petitioner was put on hold by the respondent Bank in connection with Barpeta Road P.S. Case No. 74/2024 registered under Sections 468/ 120(B)/420/471/467 IPC. Mr. Smith, learned counsel representing the Bank submits that the Bank Account of the petitioner was put on hold on instruction of the Investigating Officer of aforesaid Barpeta Road P.S. Case No. 74/2024. Pursuant to the order dated 07.03.2025, Ms. U Das, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate has received a report from the Sub Inspector of Police who is investigating the aforesaid Barpeta PS Case No.74/2024 to the effect that there is no requirement of further freezing of the Bank Account of the petitioner i.e HDFC Bank A/C No.50100504489651. The aforesaid report is kept on record. Accordingly, Mr. Smith, submits that in view of the Page No.# 3/3 aforesaid report, the bank will forthwith defreeze the account, so that the petitioner can operate the same. In view of such submission of the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition stands closed with a direction to the HDFC Bank, Adabari Branch to defreeze the bank account of the petitioner i.e., HDFC Bank A/C No.50100504489651 immediately.
