The State has filed an application for passing appropriate orders with a prayer for modification of the order dated 21.05.2025 passed in W.P.A. No.11473 of 2025. The order, which was passed on 21.05.2025 relates to worship/puja in respect of Sree Sree Shitala Mata, Sree Sree Dharmaraj Thakur and Sree Sree Peer Baba Thakur, which was scheduled to be held on 31st of May, 2025. An intimation was served to the petitioner. The learned advocate for the petitioner is present and he submits that pursuant to the directions passed by this court, the circumstances are such that the petitioner will not be able to stay at the village or survive 2 if the petitioner performs the Puja pursuant to the directions passed on 21.05.2025. In view of the submission and the undertaking given by the Trust that they are not going to conduct the Pujas, I am of the opinion that the police authority will monitor the situation so that no untoward incident results for a period from 30th May, 2025 till 9th June, 2025. A copy of the application be served upon the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner. If the petitioner intends to use an affidavit-in-opposition in respect of the application, let the same be filed within two weeks after the Summer Vacation. Affidavit-in- reply, if any, be filed within a week thereafter. List the writ petition under the heading 8Application9 on 4th July, 2025. It is clarified although the directions have been passed till 9th June, 2025, if required, police picket and the police contingent be deployed to dissuade any situation which may blow out of proportion arising from the issue relating to Puja referred to in this application as also the writ petition.
