Khanikar, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. M. Chetia, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. The instant petition has been filed being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in not making payment of the bills of the petitioner. 3. The case of the petitioner herein is that he is the proprietor of M/S A.H. Engineering Workshop, situated at Ward No. 12, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur, which is engaged in operating an automobile workshop and in supplying motor parts and carrying out repairs of the respondents’ departmental vehicles as and when required. Page No.# 3/4 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had submitted bills for the period from 30.04.2023 to 29.03.2024 before the Superintendent of Police, Lakhimpur. Upon due scrutiny, the Superintendent of Police prepared statements reflecting total liabilities for the financial year 2023–24 amounting to Rs.17,85,455/-. Out of the said amount, the petitioner has received Rs.1,63,115/-, leaving an outstanding balance of Rs.16,22,304/-. It is further submitted that the Superintendent of Police also prepared another bill for the period from 01.02.2024 to 20.03.2024, showing liabilities of Rs.1,92,986/-. Thus, the petitioner is yet to receive a total amount of Rs.18,15,326/-. Being aggrieved, the petitioner has approached this Court.. 5. Mr. M. Chetia, the learned Government Advocate during the course of the hearing submitted a parawise comments issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur dated 08.08.2025. From a perusal of the said parawise comments, it is seen that the respondent authorities have duly admitted that an amount of Rs.18,19,095/- is payable to the petitioner. The said communication is kept on record and marked with the letter “X”. 6. Taking into account the above, this Court therefore disposes of the instant writ petition with a direction to the respondent authorities to pay the petitioner the admitted amount of Rs.18,19,095/- or such amount after statutory deductions. 7. The said exercise be completed within a period of 6 (six) months from the date a certified copy of the instant order is served upon the respondent No.5. Page No.# 4/4 8.
