For Petitioner: Mr.P.Manojkumar For Respondents: Mrs.S.Pavithra, Standing Counsel ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to disburse the differential sum of Gratuity and Leave Encashment benefits based on the Dearness Allowance revision with effect from 01.04.2023 with interest. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. The petitioner worked as a Special Grade Driver in the respondent corporation and retired from service on 30.04.2023. WP No. 40667 of 2025 Dearness Allowance was revised to 42% of Basic Pay with effect from
01.04.2023. Since the petitioner retired on 30.04.2023, he is entitled to the differential amount of Gratuity and Leave Encashment benefits based on the enhanced Dearness Allowance. 4. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to disburse the applicable differential amount of Gratuity and Leave Encashment benefits based on the revised Dearness Allowance to the petitioner with interest 6% per annum commencing from the date of entitlement till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.
