HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 32927 of 2025 Court No. - 4 HON'BLE AJIT KUMAR, J.
HON'BLE SWARUPAMA CHATURVEDI, J. Heard Sri Gulab Chandra Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Arvind Kumar Goswami, learned counsel for the Union of India and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondent. A mere apprehension is being raised by the petitioners that petitioners may not be permitted to discharge duty of a Guide with foreign tourists in the monuments of national heritage that are governed under the Central Government, however, there is no material to place before the Court to demonstrate that petitioners have not been permitted to work as guide with foreign tourists. In view of the order passed by this Court dated 05.02.2024 in Writ - C No. 2644 of 2024, once the petitioners have been endorsed as guide by the competent authority of the Archaeological Survey of India, we see no justification for the ASI to interfere with the working of the petitioners as Guides. In such circumstances, in the absence of any material to substantiate the allegations made in the writ petition, no writ can be issued. Accordingly, this petition is consigned to records.
