JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 09.09.2025 Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner; and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents. At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that for redressing the grievances raised by the petitioner in this writ petition, the petitioner has already approached the concerned authorities of the government by filing a representation dated 04.09.2025 and that the said representation is pending for consideration and disposal by the authorities. The learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is LAIREN MAYUM INDRAJE ET SINGH Digitally signed by LAIRENMAYUM INDRAJEET SINGH Date: 2025.09.09 14:15:10 +05'30' 2 disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the Director General of Police – cum – Commandant General (Home Guards), Manipur to consider the said representation dated 04.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act & rules and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents, fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration & disposal of the representation submitted by it, he has no objection in disposing of this writ petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel. Taking into consideration the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions:- (i) The Director General of Police – cum – Commandant General (Home Guards), Manipur is hereby directed to consider the aforesaid representation dated 04.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act & rules and to 3 dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order. (ii) It is made clear that the whole exercise should be completed within a period of 3(three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Indrajeet
