The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to do a fair investigation in the matter pursuant to the impugned FIR dated 23.05.2025, Case Crime No. 172 of 2025, under Sections 80, 85, 351(3) B.N.S. and Section 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Atarra, District Banda and conclude the same within a determinate period of time. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner and learned A.G.A. appearing on behalf of State. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner fairly concedes that in the instant matter, investigation has already been completed and a charge sheet has also been filed on 31.08.2025. He further submits that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending as there is nothing left for further adjudication in the matter. 4. Learned A.G.A. for the State has also submitted that the investigation has been completed and a charge sheet in the impugned FIR has also been filed. 5. Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, in particular the fact that the investigation has already been completed and a charge-sheet has also been filed against the accused, we do no find any reason to keep this petition pending.
