2 working as a Sub-Inspector died on 18/10/2023, preferred the writ petition seeking a direction towards the respondents to release the retiral dues of her husband.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that by raising the grievance and claiming the retiral dues of her husband, the petitioner has submitted a representation before the respondent No.3/Superintendent of Police, Rajnandgaon Annexure P-1 vide Annexure P-1 dated 03/04/2025, but in spite of the same also, the retiral dues are not being released till date.

Learned counsel for the State submits that if the representation is still pending before the Superintendent of Police, the same shall be decided in accordance with law and if the petitioner is entitled for the retiral dues and if the said retiral dues are undisputed, the same shall also be released within a stipulated period.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and documents.

It appears that the petitioner’s husband died on 18/10/2023 while he was in service and after the death of her husband, the retiral dues of the petitioner are not being released and for which, she has submitted a representation before the respondent No.3, hence, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3/Superintendent of Police,
3 Rajnandgaon to decide the same within a period of 30 days and if the petitioner is entitled for the retiral dues, the same be released immediately to the petitioner.
6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. SD/-
