Pursuant to the directions issued in petitioners’ previous writ petition, bearing No. CWP No. 2214 of 2023 decided on 25.04.2023, respondents issued an office order 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes - 2 - dated 20.07.2023, conferring work charges status upon the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2002, however, consequential benefits based thereupon like fixation of pay and seniority were not granted, awaiting decision in SLP preferred by the respondents against the decisions rendered in State of H.P. and Ors. Vs. Surajmani and Another 2 3. It is not in dispute that SLP has now been decided by the Hon’ble Apex Court in The State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. Versus Surajmani & Anr.3. 4. In view of above decision in Surajmani3, respondent No.2/Competent Authority is directed to release admissible benefits to the petitioner i.e. seniority and pay fixation, based upon order dated 20.07.2023, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from today. Copy of the order so passed, be also communicated to the petitioner. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
