HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 35193 of 2025 Court No. - 6 HON'BLE DR. YOGENDRA KUMAR SRIVASTAVA, J. Heard Sri Mahesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Anand Bhasker Srivastava, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents and Sri Bhupendra Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel appearing for the Gram Sabha. Present petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent No.2- Tehsildar (Judicial), Tehsil Bachhali Shahr, District Jaunpur, to decide Case No.2204 of 2023 (Harishchandra vs. Gram Sabha) under Section 34 of the U P Revenue Code, 2006, expeditiously and within a stipulated time period. Counsel for the petitioner has referred to the 'order sheet' of the case, a copy whereof has been appended to the writ petition to point out that although several dates have been fixed but for some reason or the other, matter has been adjourned. The delay in disposal of the case is stated to be causing hardship to the petitioner. Accordingly, a prayer is made for a direction to respondent No.2, to conclude the proceedings at an early date. Having regard to the aforesaid, the present petition is disposed of with an observation that respondent No.2-Tehsildar (Judicial), Tehsil Machhli Shahr, District Jaunpur, would make an endeavor to conclude the proceedings of the case, which is stated to be pending before it, preferably within a period of three months, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, provided there is no other legal impediment.
