Crl.O.P.Nos.31279 & 31307 of 2025 COMMON ORDER The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.09.2025, for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 318(4) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.365 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail. 2. The allegation against the petitioners is that, the petitioners joining hands with three other accused, acted as a group involved in targeting employees of gold manufacturing units and they used to go there and induce them to handover gold jewels for the purpose of multiplying it and also give some blessings. They will do some rituals, making the victim handover the gold jewels, and suddenly disappear after diverting the victim. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the complaint itself is unbelievable. The allegation is that 59 grams of golds were taken away by the petitioners herein. He further submitted that they ready to abide by any condition and they are in custody from 14.09.2025. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioners. 4. Crl.O.P.Nos.31279 & 31307 of 2025 other cases of similar nature. If the petitioners are granted bail, there is a likelihood that they will indulge in similar offences, the property also not recovered, and three more accused are absconding. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioners. 5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report. 6.
Considering the fact that the co-accused in this case are still absconding, the property has not been recovered and the petitioner also been involved in previous cases, if the bail is granted, they will indulge in similar activities. Hence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed. 17.11.2025 mpa To 1.The Inspector of Police (Crime), B3 Variety Hall Road Police Station, Coimbatore City. 2.The Public Prosecutor, High Court, Madras. 3/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
