A Status Report dated 20th September, 2025, has been handed over by the Station House Officer (“SHO”), Police Station – New Ashok Nagar, Delhi, which reads as under: 3. As per the aforesaid said Status Report, the encroachment in the form of parking of vehicles by the shopkeepers in the area in question, is being removed regularly by the police. Thus, action against the encroachment is being taken on a regular basis by the local police. 4. At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the traffic needs to be regulated during the festival season around the temple in question. 5. Further, the local police shall continue to take regular action, and ensure that there is no encroachment in the open space around the temple in question. 7. At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner be allowed to reinstall the street lights, which had been removed from outside the temple in question. 8. Accordingly, the petitioner is at liberty to make a representation to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (“MCD”) as well as to the concerned electricity department having jurisdiction in the area in question, for the said purpose. 9. Upon the petitioner making such a representation, the same shall be considered expeditiously by the concerned authorities. 10. The MCD is directed to ensure that the guidelines of the MCD with respect to sale of non-vegetarian food is duly complied with, and that no non-vegetarian food or meat etc. is sold within the specified distance of the temple in question, in terms of the Policy in this regard. 11.
