For Petitioner(s): G.Ashokkumar For Respondent(s): Mr.A.Gopinath Government Advocate (Crl.Side) https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 28579 of 2025 ORDER The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.02.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 120(b), 302, 294(b), 342 of IPC in S.C.No.71 of 2024 on the file of the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Arakkonam, seeks bail. 2.This petitioner was earlier arrested and released on bail for the offence of murder. Subsequently, he appeared before the Court, and while the case was pending in S.C.No.71 of 2024, he jumped bail, and a Non Bailable Warrant was issued on 13.08.2024 and he was subsequently arrested on 07.02.2025. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in this case, the trial is progressing, and the petitioner is also co-operating and material witnesses were also examined and prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side)appearing for the respondent police submitted that on the basis of lower Court order, it was submitted that the petitioner is having 15 previous cases and if he is released on bail, there is a likelihood of the petitioner being involved in a similar offence and also there is a likelihood of him jumping bail. I have also gone the records; it reveals that the petitioner is involved in 15 more cases, and if he released on bail, it will delay the trial process. 6. Considering the fact that the trial is progressing and the petitioner also having bad antecedents, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
