In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners and as agreed to by the both counsel appearing for the parties, this writ petition is being disposed of at the motion stage itself. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that for redressing their grievances raised in this writ petition, the petitioners have already approached the Secretary (Edn.) (S), Government of LUCY GURUM AYUM Digitally signed by LUCY GURUMAYUM Date: 2025.09.03 10:44:02 +05'30' 2 Manipur, by filling a representation dated 24.07.2025 and the same is still pending for consideration and disposal. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners by the learned counsel that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the writ petition is disposed by issuing a direction to the Secretary (Edn.) (S), Government of Manipur, to consider the said representation filed by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/guidelines and also keeping in view the letter dated 12.07.2024 from the Director of Education (S), Manipur and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate orders within a stipulated period. Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is confined to consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the petitioners, he has no objection in disposing of the writ petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Taking into consideration the submission advance by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is 3 of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions:- (i) The Secretary (Edn.) (S), Government of Manipur is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 24.07.2025 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/guidelines and also keeping in view the proposal made by the Director of Education (S), Manipur in his letter dated 12.07.2024 (at Annexure A/7) and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate orders. (ii) The whole exercise should be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Lucy
