By filing this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondent authorities for payment of an outstanding balance amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh only) on account of the work of “Construction boundary wall at Phaliamari LP School” allotted vide order dated 08.03.2018. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that pursuant to the resolution passed by the Tiwa Autonomous Council, several orders were issued by the respondent No.2 to the construction committee for various construction works in the year 2018. The petitioner being the President of the construction committee was allotted the work of “Construction boundary wall at Phaliamari LP School” with an estimated cost of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs). Out of the sanctioned amount of Rs.5,00,000/-, an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- was released as first installment. However, the remaining amount of Rs.2,00,000/- has not been released as yet. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for a direction to release the payment of outstanding amount to the petitioner. Ms. H. Terangpi, learned counsel for the respondents on instruction fairly submits that the amount claimed by the petitioner of Rs.2,00,000/- is a balance amount of the total sanctioned amount of Rs.5,00,000/- for construction of the work “Construction boundary wall at Phaliamari LP School”. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the respondent authorities shall release the said amount of Rs.2,00,000/- within a period of 30 days from today. Having considered that the petitioner has executed the work of “Construction boundary wall at Phaliamari LP School” and the claim amount of Rs.2,00,000/- is an admitted amount coupled with the submission of the learned state counsel that the admitted amount shall be released within a period of 1 (one) month, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent Page No.# 3/3 authorities to release the admitted amount. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to release the admitted amount of Rs.2,00,000/- within a period of 30 days from today.
