In compliance of the Order passed by this Court dated 07.10.2025, Executive Engineer, Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Rajapur, Chitrakoot is present who has been identified by Sri Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the electricity department. 2. Personal affidavit on behalf of Executive Engineer, Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Rajapur, Chitrakoot has been filed and the same is taken on record. 3. Sri Sandeep Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Standing Counsel submits that the petitioner had applied for electricity connection in the year 2008 but he did not deposit the estimated amount which the petitioner had to deposit for availing of benefit of subsidy for about one and half years. He submits that the estimated amount was deposited by the petitioner on 01.07.2019 whereas the scheme which provided the subsidy has been withdrawn with effect from 21.05.2019 and therefore, the petitioner's case is not covered under the subsidy scheme. 4. Sri Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the electricity department submits that the petitioner has option either to get the refund of the money which the petitioner has deposited for obtaining the electricity connection or if he deposits Rs.68,000/- forthwith, the electricity connection shall be granted to the petitioner. 5. Sri Sarvjeet Singh Chauhan, learned counsel for the petitioner submits Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ajay Kumar Gupta, Sarvjeet Singh Chauhan Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Gaurav Singh, K.K.Rao Shiv Prakash .....Petitioner(s) State Of U.P. And 3 Others .....Respondent(s) that the petitioner is ready and willing to deposit Rs.68,000/-. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off permitting the petitioner to deposit Rs.68,000/- within a period of one month from today. On depositing the said amount, the respondent No.3-Executive Engineer, Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Rajapur, Chitrakoot is directed to grant the electricity connection to the petitioner forthwith within a period of two weeks from the date of deposit of money.
