PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: ORDER: This Criminal Petition, .under SectI-OnS 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A4, seeking bail, in Crime No.3/2025 of Nathavaram police Stall-On, AnakapaIIe District. ti> \-} €3rf> + 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,1985 3. Case of the prosecution, is{hat, on 10.01.2025 atabout ll.00am, on receipt of credible information regarding I illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of Police, along with staff and mediators reached Manyapuratla junction of Nathavaram Mandal and found two persons in suspicious circumstances. On seeing the police, said two persons tried to escape. Then police apprehended them. On interrogation, they disclosed their identity particulars as A2 and A3 and on search, police found 4kgs of ganja from their possession. They confessed that they purchased the same from petitioner/A4. Police seized the contraband, arrested the accused and got remanded to judicial custody. Police arrested the petitioner on 29.4.2025. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major part of the investigation is completed except filing of charge sheet and prays to dismiss the Criminal Petition. 6. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody ton 29.4.2d25. Police, on credible information, seized 04 kgs of ganja from A2 and A3. Pursuant to the confessional statement of co-accused, nothing ha; been `-- `~,JjZ>. I.. 3 seized from the possession of the petitioner {o connect him with the crime. Basing on the confessional statement of co-accused, the petitioner has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. 7, In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail {o the petitioner/A4 herein, on the following conditions. (i) The petitioner/A4 herein shall be released on his executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additiona.I District and Sessions Judge-Gum-Special Judge for Trial of Offences Under NDPS Act, Visakhapatnam; (ii) On release, the petitioner shall appear before the station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of charge sheet. 8.
