Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge CWP-8770 of 2024 & CMP No.1130 of 2025 The petitioners’ grievance concern non-approval of their cases by the respondents for approval of appointment as Lecturers in respondent-College on the ground that they had crossed the maximum prescribed age limit. In the application bearing CMP No.1130 of 2025, it has been pleaded that during the pendency of the writ petition, the respondent-College, keeping in view the long service rendered by the petitioners, has strongly recommended their cases for relaxing the age for the period for which they have rendered services in the College. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of developments that have taken place post the filing of the writ petition, the petitioners be permitted to withdraw this writ petition at this stage, as the respondents have assured redressing their grievances. However, liberty be reserved to petitioners to seek appropriate remedy in accordance with law, in case necessity so arises in future.
