The present contempt application has been filed pleading willful disobedience of the order dated 12.4.2024 passed by this Court in Criminal Appeal No.744 of 2024. There is no contempt of the order dated 12.4.2024 so as to occasion registering proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 at the instance of the applicant. The expectation from the Committee of the State Government as observed in the order dated 12.4.2024 relates to legislative matters for which contempt proceedings cannot be instituted. The counsel for the applicant also pleads that property of the applicant has not yet been released in light of the order dated 4.10.2023 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Court No.5, District Mau. The applicant has the remedy to approach the District Judge for the said purpose and it is not a case for instituting proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 The application is dismissed.
