Mr. Binod Kumar Singh 2. Ms. Meghali Barman (O R D E R) Date : 14.06.2025 The case is put up before the National Lok Adalat. The matter is amicably settled between the parties. The claimants, herein, and the appellants Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited, represented by Mr. Kaifi Anam, RM, and Mr. Gautam Pradhan, AM, are present before the Court today. It is stated by the claimant No. 2 that the claimed amount receivable by him, be paid to the claimant No. 1, their mother. It is submitted by both the claimants and the Insurance Company’s representatives that this matter is settled between the parties at an amount of Rs. 8,50,000/-. It is to be noted that the Insurance Company had already deposited an amount of Rs. 5,02,144/- with the Registry of this Court which is yet to be withdrawn by the claimants. The Insurance Company shall deposit the said balance amount of Rs. 3,47,856/- within a period of 45 days from today before the Registry of the Page No.# 3/3 Gauhati High Court, Guwahati. Failure to deposit the above-noted amount within the stipulated time by the Insurance Company, the above amount would carry an interest @ 7% from the date of filing of the claim petition before the learned Tribunal. On deposit of Rs. 3,47,856/-, by the Insurance Company, the total compensation amount of Rs. 8,50,000/-, shall be released to the claimant No. 1 viz. Smti. Rupanjali Barua @ Dipti Baruah, by the Registry of the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati, upon furnishing of adequate documents for her identification as well as the particulars of her Bank Account. Statutory Deposit, if any, made by the Insurance Company being not a part of the amount so settled today; the same be released to the Insurance Company on an application made by it in this connection. The appeal, accordingly, stands disposed of in terms of the amicable settlement reached between the parties. The compromise format signed by the parties is kept on record. LCRs, if any, be remitted to the concerned learned Tribunal. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
