1. Heard Ms. P. Borthakur, learned counsel for the applicant.
2. This application has been filed by the applicant Insurance Company praying for refund of the statutory deposit of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) made by the applicant at the time of preferring the MAC Appeal No.
Page No.# 2/2 401/2019.
3. The learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that by order dated 14.09.2019, the aforesaid appeal has been disposed of on the basis of amicable settlement reached between the parties. However, she submits that the statutory deposit of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) made by the appellant has not yet been refunded to the applicant.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the applicant as well as considering the material on record, the prayer has allowed.
5. The Registry is directed to refund back the statutory deposit of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) made by the applicant in MAC Appeal No. 401/2019 to the applicant after proper verification.
6. The interlocutory application is accordingly disposed of.
