The petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondent authority for conducting reelection of the Union in the railways. 2. It appears from the submission made by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that election stood concluded in December, 2024. The instant writ petition has been filed in April, 2025. 3. Today prayer has been made for directing the authority for conducting the reelection. 4. The Court is not convinced with the submission made by the petitioner seeking reelection. The writ petition has been filed long after the election stood concluded. At this stage, it will be highly improper to pass direction for reelection of the Union. Page 2 5. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 6.
