Learned counsel for the Petitioner WOuld Submit that the Petitioner COuld not appear before the police on the date of which she was called for 'lnvestigation in view of the fact that her daughter-in-law was admitted in hospital. He would further Submit that the Petitioner Will appear before the police as and when she was called for. He would also Submit that the OffenCeS alleged are punishable with imprisonment up to 7 years and Prays this Court to direct the police to follow the procedure contemplated under section 35(3) of BNSS] 2023. 3. On the other hand, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, While opposing the criminal petition stated that the offences are punishable less than 7 years of 'lmprisonment. 4.
