(Oral) The two appellants, i.e. Bhola Singh and Budhu Singh were convicted by learned Special Court, Barnala vide judgment dated 01.04.2009 under Sec/on 15 of the Narco/c Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in a case arising out of FIR No.99 dated 06.09.2007 registered at Police Sta/on Dhanaula. 2. Against the afore-said convic/on, the appellants filed this appeal. However, today learned State Counsel has placed on record status report accompanied by the death cer/ficates of both the appellants indica/ng that appellant – Budhu Singh had expired on 22.10.2019 whereas the other appellant – Bhola Singh had expired on 22.07.2023. None of the family members of the appellants have come forward within the period of limita/on prescribed by law so as to pursue this appeal. 3. In the afore-said cicumstances, the present appeal stands disposed of having been rendered as infructuous, as proceedings stand abated.
