Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the respondent and perused the record. 2. The petitioners have preferred the present writ petition inter-alia with the following prayer:- "A. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 24.4.2025 (annexure no. 2 to this writ petition). B. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the respondent Bank to receive the loan amount from the petitioners and got deposited in the loan amount and provide no dues certificate." 3. On the perusal of the prayer as contained, it transpires that the petitioners are aggrieved by the respondent no. 3 which is a private entity. It is settled law that writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is not maintainable against the private persons. 4. In this view of the matter, the present petition is dismissed with liberty to avail alternative remedy as available under law.
