Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following reliefs: "(I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent concerned to revise the Pay Scale for the period of 09.05.2013 to 05.11.2022. (II) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to pay the arrears of revised pay scale for the period of 09.05.2013 to 05.11.2022." It transpires from the record that petitioner has already represented the matter before the competent authority on 13th September, 2024 for consideration of his claim. Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner may approach the competent authority with a fresh representation for consideration of his claim for revision of pay scale for the period of 9th May, 2013 to 5th November, 2022 and for the payment of arrears, that may be directed to be decided in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that in the event petitioner makes a fresh representation within a period of four weeks' from today along with certified copy of this order before the competent authority, the same shall be considered and decided as expeditiously as possible preferably within a further period of three months.
