HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 3225 of 2025 Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondents-authorities to take action against respondents no. 7 to 12 for the alleged illegal mining activities in Village Silawan, Tehsil Mahrauni, District Lalitpur. 2. Submissions have been made that respondents no. 7 to 12 were involved in illegal mining and, therefore, action be initiated against them. 3. A perusal of the representations made by the petitioner to the Mining Minister would reveal that several allegations have been made pertaining to the land in question being that of Forest Department, however, the Forest Department has not been impleaded as a party respondent. Further allegations have been made that the land in question is in the name of Community Centre for over 20 years and agricultural operations are being undertaken therein and that the petitioner and others raising grievance are being threatened. 4. Looking at the material, which has been produced on record, it is apparent that the petitioner has failed to produce any material in support of the allegations made, except for producing certain photographs and omnibus representations made from time to time. Neither the revenue record has been produced nor any other material to substantiate allegations made in the representations have been produced. 5. In view of the wholly cursory petition, no case for entertaining the same Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Arvind Kumar, Riyajuddin Ansari Counsel for Respondent(s) : Seema Agarwal (S.C.), J. N. Maurya Roop Singh .....Petitioner(s) State of Uttar Pradesh and 11 others .....Respondent(s) as PIL is made out. The petition is, therefore, dismissed.
