The petitioner is a sthapathi and his license had not been renewed on account of the fact that thiruppani work had not been completed and also on account of the fact that a criminal case in Crime No.341/2018 on the file of Sivakanchi P.S., Kancheepuram District, is pending against the petitioner. Taking into consideration the rival pleas, this Court directed the respondent to take a call on the application for renewal filed on 22.12.2022. Alleging that the order had not been complied with, Mr.A.Kripakaran had been instructed to initiate this contempt. 3. When the matter was called, Mr.NRR.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader, HR & CE, has produced a copy of the order passed by the Commissioner, HR & CE dated 08.08.2025. In terms of the order, the petitioner's license as sthapathi has been renewed for a period of thee years from the aforesaid date.
