1. Heard Mr. E. Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the accused petitioners as well as Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Addl. P.P., Assam appearing for the State respondent. 2. This petition under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the accused-petitioners, namely, Mehbub Rabbani and Ahammad Ali @ Ahmed Ali, who are stated to have been arrested on 18.08.2025 and 19.08.2025 respectively and praying for grant of bail in connection with Juria P.S. Case No.215/2025 under Sections 85/117(2)/91/3(5) of the BNS Act. 3. The allegation in the ejahar is that on 12.06.2025, informant’s daughter was given in marriage to accused No.1 i.e., Mehbub Rabbani and after marriage, she was subjected to torture for dowry and whereupon, he paid Rs.50,000/-. It is further alleged that despite that, his daughter was assaulted on demand of dowry and that the accused no.1 tortured his daughter as he has affair with another girl and due to such assault, she suffered bleeding from her 2 months pregnancy. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present accused persons are stated to be the husband and father-in-law of the alleged victim girl. He further submits that there was some quarrel/dispute between the husband/co-accused and the victim based on her earlier relationship. 5. I have heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who produced the case diary. However, he has opposed granting bail at this stage. 6. Seen the progress of investigation. The case diary has been received and relevant portions perused including the medical report which reveals simple injury. Page No.# 3/3

In the given facts and circumstances, both the accused persons shall be released on bail of Rs.20,000/- each with one suitable surety of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned concerned court subject to the following conditions that the petitioners: (a) shall be available for trial if one commences. (b) Shall not hamper or tamper with evidence. (c) shall not intimate or harass the informant or any witnesses. 8. Accordingly, this bail application stands allowed and disposed of. 9. Return the case diary. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
