Aditya Harsha Vardhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pelleti Rajesh Kumar, learned Central Government Counsel, appeared for respondents 1 & 2 and Sri Ajay, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, appeared for respondent No.3. 2. The petitioner made an application for the issuance of a passport vide File NO.VJ2077334682525, dated 23.01.2025 (Ex.P1). A short-fall notice dated 03.02.2025 (Ex.P2) was issued to the petitioner. The petitioner I SRS.J W.P.No.13130 of 2025 submitted an explanation dated 10.02.2025 (Ex.P3). Complaining about the inaction in re-issuing the passport, the above writ petition has been filed. Sri Ajay, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that three criminal cases are pending against the petitioner vide C.C.No.320 of 2023 on the file of the learned I Judicial First Class Magistrate, Lakkireddypalli; C.C.No.371 of 2022 on the file of the learned I Judicial First Class Magistrate, Jammalamadugu and Spl.S.C.No.26 of 2022 on the file of the learned SC.ST-cum-IV Addl. District Judge, Kadapa. Learned counsel would also submit that the jurisdictional Courts have taken cognizance in the aforementioned criminal cases and the petitioner has to approach the jurisdictional Courts and make proper application. In reply, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner will make appropriate application before the jurisdictionalCourts. 3. 4. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of both the learned counsel, giving liberty to the petitioner to make an application before the jurisdictional Courts seeking re-issuance of passport. If such an application is filed, the concerned jurisdictional Courts shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders, keeping in view of Rule 12 of the Passports Rules, 1980.
