Following relief is sought in the writ petition :- (i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari calling for record and quashing the impugned order dated 26.02.2024 (Annexure No.2 to the writ petition) passed by respondent no.2 in Case No. 505 of 2023 (State Vs. Afsar), under Section 2/3 of U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970, Police Station- Bhojpur, District- Ghaziabad. (ii) issue any other suitable writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. (iii) award cost of this petition in favour of the petitioner. The counter affidavit records that the proceedings under the U.P. Control of Goondas Act against the petitioner which have been assailed in the writ petition have been dropped.
