The petitioners claim that they are entitled to the benefit of selection grade after completing 14 years of service. They have made the representations in this regard but to no avail. Learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents No. 1 & 2 and Shri Ashok Kumar Lal, learned counsel for the respondents No.3 and 4 submit that the matter requires determination of facts by the competent authority as per law in the first instance. However, they fairly contend that the claim for selection grade after completing 14 years of service is liable to be decided by the competent authority in a reasonable time frame. In light of the aforesaid submissions and without going into the merits of the case, the respondents No.3-and 4- District Cooperative Bank Limited/competent authority is directed to decide the representations of the petitioners regarding selection grade after completing 14 years of service as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
