JUSTICE KAUSHIK GOSWAMI ORDER 07.04.2025 Heard Ms. S Sharma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. B K Singh, learned counsel for the revisionist. Also heard Ms. L Devi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. R K Dev Choudhury, learned counsel for the respondent. It appears that this Court on the last occasion had directed the respondent to inform the Court as to whether the revisionist is still alive or not. Today when the matter is called, Ms. L Devi, learned counsel for the respondent placed a letter received from the Office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, GC, CRPF, Guwahati dated 26.03.2025 which indicates that the revisionist, i.e., Shri Pratyush Kumar Patra had expired on 07.03.2014. A copy of the Death Certificate is also enclosed in the said letter. Copy of the said letter dated 26.03.2025 is kept on record and marked as ‘X’. In view of the fact that the revisionist petitioner expired during pendency of this criminal revision petition, the matter becomes infructuous. Accordingly, this criminal revision petition, being infructuous, stands dismissed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
