Addl.GA Mr. Mangal Debbarma appears for all the respondents and waives service of notice. [3] Ld. Counsel Ms. A. Debbarma submits that the petitioner while serving as P.S.(Grade-III) in the office of the Principal, AGMC & GBP Hospital, went on voluntary retirement on 31st March, 2019 and despite his submission of all required documents in prescribed format, the competent authorities have not granted the benefit available to him under Group Insurance Scheme, 1983 and they are procrastinating in this matter despite the fact that long ago in the year 2019, necessary documents were submitted by the petitioner. Yes No -3- [4] Ld. Counsel, Ms. A. Debbarma further refers to a letter dated 07.11.2024 (Annexure-5) whereby the Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura forwarded the Service Book of the petitioner to the Medical Superintendent, Head Of Department, AGMC & GBP Hospital, Agartala requesting him to initiate the proposal for Group Insurance benefits to be given to the petitioner and thereafter to return the same. [5] Ld. Counsel, Ms. Debbarma submits that from that letter itself it appears that entitlement of the petitioner in respect of the Group Insurance benefits, as such, is not disputed by the state. [6] Ld. Counsel, Ms. Debbarma also submits that even a legal notice was also issued on 19.10.2025 to respondent Nos.1, 2, 6 & 7. But despite the same, no positive steps has been taken by them. [7] Considering the fact of recent sending of such legal notice/representation, this writ petition is disposed of with consent of both the sides at the motion stage, with direction to the respondents to take into account all the documents submitted by the petitioner earlier and to take a reasoned decision on the legal notice issued on 19.10.2025 by the petitioner to them, within 3 weeks of receipt of copy of this order and to communicate the decision to the petitioner immediately thereafter. -4- [8] If the grievance of the petitioner is not redressed by the respondents, the petitioner will have the liberty to approach the Court again. [9] In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. [10] Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
