The applicants being accused in Criminal Case No.14553 of 2019 arising out of Case Crime No.0044 of 2019, under Sections 498A, 323, 506, 501 IPC and Section 3/4 D.P. Act, pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Bahraich registered at Police Station Mahila Thana, District Bahraich are aggrieved against the charge sheet no.1 dated 6th August, 2019 and the cognizance order dated 25th November, 2019, therefore, they have filed this petition seeking quashing of the entire criminal proceedings. The petition was filed in January, 2020 and on request, the same was adjourned. Thereafter, the prayer made by the applicants was never pressed and with the passage of time, the trial proceedings must have progressed. Therefore, at this juncture, no case is made out for exercise of inherent powers under Section 482 Cr.P.C.. The petition is dismissed.
