Choudhury, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S. S. Roy, learned Government counsel appearing for the State respondent. The prayer made in this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of mandamus by way of a direction to the respondent authorities to issue permanent residence certificate in favour of the petitioner. Today, when the matter was called, Mr. S. S. Roy, learned counsel appearing for the State respondent furnished a copy of the order dated 01.05.2025, by which the application of the petitioner for issuance of PRC was rejected. A copy of the order dated 01.05.2025 is kept on record and marked as “X”. At this stage, Mr. A. H. M. R. Choudhury, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to file afresh. Prayer is allowed.
