Also heard Ms. P Das, learned counsel for the Secondary Education Department. 2. The prayer of the writ petitioner is for a direction to be issued to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground. 3. Ms. P Das, learned counsel for the Secondary Education Department has submitted a letter E No. 255701/187 dated 19.02.2025, issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, which states that the Government has approved the filling up of one post of Junior Assistant under the administrative control of Director of Secondary Education, Assam on compassionate ground, which is as follows:- Sl. The said letter also states that the appointment will be subject to the three conditions provided in the said letter dated 19.02.2025. 5. On considering the fact that the State Government has approved the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground as per the letter dated 19.02.2025, this Court directs the petitioner to approach the office of the Director, Secondary Education, Assam/Inspector of Schools, KDC, Karimganj, for doing the needful for being appointed on compassionate ground, in terms of the said letter dated 19.02.2025. 6. The said letter dated 19.02.2025 issued by the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education is made a part of the record and marked as Annexure-X. 7. The petitioner should approach the Director, Secondary Education, Assam/Inspector of Schools, KDC, Karimganj within a period of 10 (ten) days from today, to fulfil the conditions required for issuing the appointment order. Thereafter, the respondents shall ensure that the petitioner is given the appointment order within a further period of 1 (one) month. 8. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
