1. Proceedings of this case have been taken through video conferencing.
2. This is an ofÏce reference.
3. This Court, vide order dated 10.05.2024, passed in MCRC No. 2312 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Rajesh Sen and Sanju Uike, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment.
4. Earlier on one occasion also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 10.05.2024.
5. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur, District-Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 25.03.2025 has requested for grant of six months time for concluding the trial.
6. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that currently, the case is at the evidence stage. Statements of 07 prosecution witnesses have been recorded in the case. Statements of the remaining 06 witnesses are yet to be recorded. Hence the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some more time therefore, he prays for grant of six months time for concluding the same.
7. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today.
8. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
9. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
