Prayer in the present petition filed by the petitioner-father is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus to secure the release of his minor daughter, Kritika, aged 17 years and 5 months from the illegal custody of respondents No. 4 to 7 and his other family members. 2. In compliance with order dated 29.01.2025 passed by this Court, detenue Kritika has been produced in the Court by ASI Nirmal Singh, Police Station Dhariwal and Lady Constable Amandeep Kaur. Petitioner is also present in the Court in person today. 3. Since the detenue is a minor and the parents are the natural guardians of the detenue, therefore, it is in the best interest and welfare of the child that the detenue be sent with the petitioner-father.
